# Facebook as an organizer

I discovered Zaz through a video on Facebook; she makes such enjoyable music—[even though I’ve listened to it](http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Tm88QAI8I5A) countless times, I still get the same pleasure out of it every time.

A while ago, Zaz came to Turkey for the second time. I didn’t get a chance to go, but next time…

For artists who have gained a global fan base online, Facebook can be a tremendous tool and a great way to organize their efforts.

You can target audiences in Facebook ads, but we know that Facebook also sells data beyond its standard ads.

If producers or artists are planning to go somewhere outside their home country, Facebook statistics can point them in the right direction. I don’t know if this played a role in Zaz’s decision to come to Turkey, but if I were an artist, I’d prioritize the country where my work is viewed or listened to the most on Facebook—and that’s where I’d go.

Of course, it’s not just for artists—Facebook is a great organizing tool for many different types of work.
